Carving with care

Feb. 23, 2017 | Mr. Brandon's Form VI art class explored a variety of carving techniques this afternoon.

BCS’ art teacher shared that clay is highly versatile and extremely easy to work with, so it's the ideal modeling material for beginners. Sculpting also represents an extremely expressive way of creating art, as an artists hands act directly as the main tools. Doga U. took the opportunity to expand her “The Simpson’s” collection, which she began last year with Homer, by creating a realistic figurine of Marge Simpson. Fevzi K. went a different route and created a miniature rhinoceros.
