A picture is worth a thousand words

Mar. 30, 2017 | Mr. Crowther’s English students worked in groups this afternoon, creating their own photo essay.

As part of their English Language Arts class, the Form II & III students had to take their own original, artistic photos over their Spring Break. The photos, taken from different angles and with different artistic stylings, are meant to represent the thematic nature of their essay. The theme of each essay is an inspirational quote taken from a famous poet discussed in class, such as Charles Simic or Mark Strand. The photo essays will be presented via a PowerPoint presentation, with the first slide showing the quote and the remaining slides filled with at least 15 thematic pictures.
