Shakespeare in the round (circle)
Apr. 5, 2017 | Mrs. Carey’s Form V English Language Arts class is studying the timeless tale of ruthless ambition, Macbeth.
In an effort to deepen their understanding of the play and its themes, Ms. Carey assigned each student a character. In today’s lesson, and with Mrs. Carey’s pronunciation guidance, classmates sat in a circle and read aloud sections of dialogue in character. They will also have to memorize a soliloquy from the play and present it in class at the end of the month. Cue the cries of “Out, damned spot!” down the third floor hallway come month’s end!
