The art of making objects come to life

Apr. 13, 2017 | Mrs. McGie’s Form IV drama class spent the morning exploring object theatre.

Today’s workshop consisted of creating a 2-minute story wherein students impersonated an everyday object. In this
sub-category of puppetry, the audience is encouraged to ignore the protagonist’s presence and focus on the narrative being created by the objects. Aidan C. chose to impersonate a guitar while some of his classmates decided to mimic other items such as towels, $5 bills, and hats.
