Sharing his wisdom
Apr. 14, 2017 | Mr. St-Amant’s Form VII law class welcomed lawyer and BCS alumnus Doug Mitchell this morning.
As the founder of his own Montreal-based law firm and nephew of former Head of School Will Mitchell, BCS’63, the BCS Class of 1979 lawyer came to talk to our students about his career specializing in litigation and dispute resolution. During his legal career, he has worked as lead counsel in several cases, advised clients on delicate issues, participated in trials covered by the media, and played key roles in crisis management. Mr. Mitchell encouraged student to specialize in an area of study that they are truly passionate about and to travel the world. At the end of the day, he explained, if you are not doing what you love, no amount of money will ever top genuine happiness.
