Crossing the "river"

Oct. 19, 2017 | Mr. MacLachlan, BCS'87, introduced a new activity based on cooperative games and leadership to our Cadets program this year.

The purpose of the game is to cross from one end of the field to the other without touching the grass (aka "the river"). The students are separated in three different groups, and each team has ropes and two logs at their disposal to build a bridge. If a member of the team or the equipment touches the grass surrounding them, the team loses that tool and it cannot be used to fulfill the mission. Teamwork skills and leadership are necessary to succeed.
