Testing the presence of nutrients
Nov. 30, 2017 | Ms. Laberee’s class tested the presence of nutrients contained in common foods during a science lab this morning.
The Form VI students tested the presence of different nutrients like complex carbohydrates, simple sugar, proteins, and lipids on a variety of foods during first period. Jell-O, whipped cream, potatoes, bread, and more were used as test subjects to create chemical reactions when placed into contact with different solutions. This lab arrives right in time since the students have been studying these structures in depth as part of their unit on molecular biology.
