Small donations, big impact

Jan. 18, 2018 | Before the Holiday Break, a Form VI student collected donations to give out to the Sawa for Development and Aid (SDAID) family organization. This week, they wrote back to thank our community.

It was Nadim who first brought the idea of collecting clothes and blankets for  refugee camps in Lebanon to Mr. Tessier. Thanks to his efforts and the generosity of the BCS community, Nadim was able to send supplies to the non-governmental organization for their Annual Winter Campaign. This campaign collects carpets, blankets, and warm clothes (along with fuel and food) in order to help displaced persons survive the harshest season of the year. This week, we received a letter from SDAID thanking us for our contribution to their campaign, and congratulating Nadim for his initiative. Great job, Nadim!
