Feb. 1, 2018 | The inter-house competitions started this morning, with cheers so loud you might have heard them from wherever you are in the world!
Today is dedicated to friendly inter-house competitions, and the house spirit, as always, is front and centre with face paint, sparkles, and lots of loud cheers and chants. The morning started with Hansel and Gretel's Escape of the Woods great race that took place along the Gillard forest path for the first time, having usually been held on Centre Field. An epic, come-from-behind, almost too-close-to-call Tug of War followed suit, with broomball and soccer games scheduled throughout the day. This afternoon will see the ice dancing competition in Memorial Arena (a highlight year after year), as well as lip sync battles and meme presentations.
Most houses will be in for a long night as they finalize their skits for tomorrow's Chapel that will conclude this year's edition of Winter Carnival. The pressure's on and we're just getting started so stay tuned for more!
