Expo 67 - half a century later

Mar. 16, 2018 | Just before leaving for March Break, we had our own "Expo 67" in the conference room.

Our Form V history students have been learning about French Canadian identity in the 1950s and 1960s. In order for them to better understand the emergence of French Canadian nationalism, each of the classes had to create a booth that would have been presented at Expo 67. Students were tasked with creating an exposition that demonstrated political, economic, and social elements of French Canada to the world. The goal was for the students to place themselves in that time period, and they were encouraged to be as creative as possible. The student impressed their teachers by producing posters, pictures, and even videos.

We'd say they've earned their March Break. Enjoy, BCS!
