A darkness fell over Ross Hall…

Apr. 20, 2018 | With Earth Day coming up on Sunday, our community ate lunch in the dark to celebrate environmental sustainability.

During lunch today, students and staff took action to promote sustainability and inspire environmental awareness. The initiative took the form of a ‘black out,’ which involved turning off the lights in Ross Hall and keeping the use of electrical appliances to a minimum. After filling up on gazpacho and sandwiches, students also had to clear their plates into compost bins at the exit to minimize waste.

A big thank you to our kitchen staff for their involvement today and their continuous efforts every day to provide locally-sourced, environmentally-sustainable meals.
