Research on display

May 1, 2018 | Mrs. Carey’s Form V English Class held their very own academic poster exhibit today.

The students took over the third floor hallway and several classrooms this afternoon for their academic research-style poster conference. Mrs. Carey’s goal with this project was to help students perfect their research and presentation skills while also engaging them in a university-type assignment. Over the past few weeks, students were tasked with choosing a novel and crafting a research poster that included a description of the book, characters, and literary devices, as well as their favourite passage. Today all their hard work paid off as they presented their posters to their peers and a neighbouring class.
