When the dust settles

June 28, 2018 | Summer renovations are underway. Up first: raising the School House ceiling!
It may look like an abandoned building, but staff and administration are in their offices doing their best to keep working through the drilling and hammering. While most students and staff have likely never noticed, the first floor ceiling of School House has tall arched sections interspersed with lowered sections. According to our Grounds crew's investigation, parts of the ceiling were lowered in the 1970’s to run cabling. With changes in technological requirements, this summer we’re raising it back up to its former glory. The renovations are expected to be completed within two weeks, at which point the team will continue working on their long list of summer projects. In the books this year: relocating the tennis courts, regrouting the School House bricks, installing carpets in Glass house, and a few other renovations in Grier and Gillard.
But don’t worry, come school opening in the fall, you’ll still find the old BCS you know and love just with a much needed face-lift.
