I is for Internationalism

August 1, 2018 | This fall, BCS is excited to be hosting a pre-conference cultural tour for the 2018 Round Square International Conference.

Round Square is an international program dedicated to empowering youth to become committed, responsible global citizens through active involvement. Their educational philosophy, often mirrored at BCS, is based on 6 pillars known as IDEALS, an acronym for Internationalism, Democracy, Environment, Adventure, Leadership, and Service. The Round Square International Conference is a week-long conference held every year around the globe involving keynote speakers, group discussions, and activities that embrace both adventure and service. As a member of Round Square, BCS will be hosting four schools for a cultural tour of our region before the conference begins. Students from South Africa, Germany, and Australia will be spending the week before the conference in an enriching and uniquely Canadian cultural experience on and around our campus.

If you are interested in hosting one to two students for the nights of September 23 and 24, please contact Shelley Gardner Bray at [email protected]. Pick up would be at 7:20 PM from BCS each night and a return to BCS for breakfast the next morning.
