The draft is done!

September 20, 2018 | IB students celebrated the completion of the first draft of their extended essay in true BCS fashion: eating pizza!

After almost a full year of work, 14 students in our International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme have finally submitted the first draft of their extended essay. The journey to this submission deadline began last fall with a special course to introduce and prepare students for the project. Since then, each of these students has worked with an advisor to plan their essay and carry out intensive research. The essay itself, which was largely written over the summer months, consists of a 4,000-word paper in addition to three formal reflections about the process. As the pioneers of BCS' recently introduced IB program, these 14 studious young minds will be the first to receive their IB Diploma.

Congratulations to all on completing this large step in such a daunting project!
