Lunch on a high note

September 26, 2018 | The music room was open during lunch today for students to practice, hang out, and jam together.
For the first time in recent years, the band room was open over lunch to allow students to practise their instruments or discover new ones. Our music teacher, Mr. Obermeir, said this was just the first step he hopes to take to allow musically-inclined students to hone their skills outside the classroom. “I’m hoping to start a music prep, where students can practise in the evening.” Though musicians have always been permitted to borrow their instruments after school, practising loud instruments in the dorms has led to a few icy glares.
Thanks for giving your time to keep the music room open, Mr. Obermeir. Music students (and their roommates) will surely appreciate it!
