Let freedom ring

Dec. 14, 2018 | Form II Ethics presented their colourful research posters about the history and future of freedom.

Accompanied by a written research component, the project involved defining freedom, creating a timeline of important events, and illustrating it all to drive home their message. Though the presentation itself wasn't graded, Mme Gauthier encouraged the class to share their thoughts on the subject to start a greater conversation about issues related to freedom around the world. With such an international group of students, some focussed on war and political upheaval, while others investigated civil rights movements that have moved society forward. From Mandela and Gandhi to birds and ballot boxes, the imagery they identified was as diverse as the students themselves.

We look forward to seeing our students continue to use their platform of freedom to bring about change in their own communities!
