A drop in the bucket

Jan. 24, 2019 | Form III students waited for the dust to settle during their Science and Technology lab on meteorite craters.

Some of our young scientists spent second period dropping table tennis, golf, and bocce balls into a mixture of flour and cocoa to during their unit on space. After each test, students measured the diameter of the crater to determine which variables affected meteorite impacts. While most of the tests were conducted in the lab sinks to minimize the mess, a few students eagerly volunteered to demonstrate the process on the table for our photographer.

We love seeing our students enthusiastically engaged in the scientific process, and we especially love our custodial crew's support through the aftermath!
