Take a hike

Jan. 29, 2019 | Our Winter Adventure Training crease travelled to Mount Mégantic this past weekend.

Seven students of varying skill levels accompanied by Ms. Rowell and Mrs. Vanier braved the cold and damp conditions over the weekend for the three-day trip in the great outdoors. "One of the highlights of the trip was the 'progressive dinner' we had as a group using the wood stove in our lodges," Ms. Rowell shared. "We started with a meatball soup appetizer in the boys' cabin, followed by a chicken curry in the teachers' cabin, and finished it all off with hot cocoa and s'mores in the girls' cabin." Although the group had planned on going cross-country skiing during the trip, the rain dampened their plans. Not to be deterred by the weather, they racked up the kilometres on their snowshoes instead, completing nearly 20 kilometres by the end of the trip and becoming veritable snowshoe experts!

We're crossing our fingers for beautiful weather for the remainder of winter crease so our Adventure Training crew can make up their skiing.
