Feb. 28, 2019 | Our ski crease took to the hills yesterday for their second to last trip of the year.
The group of 42 students and three coaches left campus at lunch yesterday to spend the afternoon at Mount Orford. The recent steady snowfall that's been felt across southern Quebec has been a boon to the many nearby ski hills and yesterdays conditions left nothing to be desired. There was corduroy for everyone and a few adventurous students ventured into the glades to enjoy some fresh powder. Spirits rose along with the temperature as students took their last few runs. After enjoying some hot chocolate in the warmth of the chalet, the enthusiasm continued on the bus ride home as several students gathered around a phone to watch a soccer game together and cheer on their teams.
The students are excited to be back on the slopes tomorrow, though we'll see how they feel when their alarms wake them up for their 5:30 AM departure for Le Massif de Charlevoix.
