Top grade in first aid

Apr. 8, 2019 | Our Student Centre was busy over the weekend as students completed their first aid certification.

This weekend marked the second group of new students taking the course, the first having completed their training in March. In total, 55 students received the training, which is offered to all students through our partnership with Cadets Canada. The group received CPR and AED training and learned about emergency response strategies and preventive care. The full-day course is a requirement for the New Brunswick grade 12 diploma offered at BCS. Combined with the internal first aid training we offer to all faculty and staff, everyone in our community is prepared to prevent and respond to illness or injury on campus.

Now that the course is complete, all that's left is to try to stop humming the Bee Gees' Stayin' Alive!
