Apr. 26, 2019 | Today we honoured an achievement in chemistry!
In chapel this morning, Mrs. Vanier awarded Daniel for his exceptional achievement in the Canadian Chemistry Contest this year. The contest is a voluntary exam which is open to CEGEP and grade 12 students in the top 10% of their class. Daniel, who is currently planning to pursue chemical engineering in university, placed second in the Estrie and Montérégie districts. "It's a little nerdy, but I'm really proud of him," Mrs. Vanier expressed, adding that this is the first award of its kind given to a student at BCS as far as she was aware.
The Science Department hopes to encourage more students to take on opportunities like this one in the future. Ms. Laberee is already looking at similar contests in biology with a few students in mind. Time to get studying!
