Novel ideas

May 9, 2019 | Canadian writer Alison Acheson spoke to some of our students this morning.
Through the generous support of the English Department and through TD Book Talks, we welcomed Alison Acheson to the Peter G. Holt Memorial Library to speak with students about careers in writing and publishing. During the workshop, she discussed the current publishing landscape and engaged students in creative writing activities. She also spoke more broadly about the value of developing strong creativity and writing skills in any career.

Based on this year's success, our librarian, Mr. Crowther, hopes to see more visits from authors in the years to come. Make sure to follow him on Instagram and Twitter to stay up to date with all the latest from our library!
