Putting the U in university

May 13, 2019 | A University of Ottawa representative met with our Form VIs to speak about life beyond BCS.
The University of Ottawa, along with Toronto, has long been one of the most popular application destinations for our Form VIIs. This morning's visit marked Form VI students' first full university presentation on campus, of which there will be many more over the coming year. The University Advising team organized the event to introduce students to the options and vocabulary common to any university application. Admissions Officer Dominique Périard took the opportunity to explain program offerings, course breakdowns, housing availabilities, and scholarship opportunities to the group of curious students. Several of our teachers said presentation sparked many conversations throughout the day as students sought out more information about the application process they will be starting early next year.

After the event, the admissions officer met with Form VII students who were admitted to the university to help them make their course selection for next year.
