Electing to lead

May 23, 2019 | Ballot boxes were filled this morning as students exercised their democratic rights.
Earlier this month, 18 prefect hopefuls submitted their applications to become one of our 2019-20 student leaders. Today after a short assembly in chapel, students from all Forms made their way to designated polling locations around campus to make their voices heard. "This is an exercise in consultation that really makes an impact on next year’s school leadership," Mr. Tessier expressed to students. "Being a prefect is not a popularity contest but a role of leadership—the most prominent one in the school." Results from the election will be announced on May 14 at our last school assembly of the year.

Look out for the return of our #BCS1836Prefects campaign on our Facebook and Instagram pages over the summer as we introduce our newest group of student leaders!
