Good as gold

Jun. 4, 2019 | Today we honoured the dedication of 124 students who have completed requirements for the prestigious Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Maintaining a 14-year tradition, we assembled in chapel this morning to recognize the accomplishments of our students toward the Duke of Edinburgh Bronze, Silver, and Gold  Awards. One of many leadership opportunities at BCS, the award seeks to inspire youth ages 14 to 24 to engage in activities relating to four key areas: service, skills, physical recreation, and adventure. We were extremely proud to welcome the Honourable J. Michel Doyon, Lieutenant Governor of Quebec, to award the pins again this year.

Today's event brings the total number of pins awarded to BCS students since 2005 to over 1,500. We're incredibly proud of all our students who have taken on the challenge of earning the award–congratulations to you all!
