Always a Bear
Aug. 16, 2019 | This week we celebrated William Mitchell's return to BCS as Interim Head of School!
Though he's been working on Moulton Hill since the beginning of July, we took some time this week to welcome back Mr. Mitchell in true BCS style. Generously hosted by Sass Khazzam, BCS'62, Wednesday's Summer-in-the-City Cocktail was an opportunity for alumni and friends to celebrate Mr. Mitchell's long history with BCS and look forward to the year ahead. A sizeable group of BCS and KHC alumni were in attendance along with past parents, grandparents, and friends of the school. Guests were treated to an oyster bar supplied by Vasken Redwanly, BCS'09, and a delicious spread catered by Mimi Rolland, BCS'89. Following speeches from Mr. Mitchell, Mr. Khazzam, and BCS Association Board Chair Linda Rodeck, BCS'81, our Advancement team also took the opportunity to present 50th anniversary alumni ties to Mr. Mitchell's cricket group. The celebration continued into the evening as alumni caught up with Mr. Mitchell, including the group pictured above who fondly remembered him as their Head of School when he first arrived at BCS in 2012.
