Dungeons & Dragons

Oct. 4, 2019 | The D&D Club recently launched a new campaign.

Dungeons and Dragons (or D&D for short) is a fantasy role-playing game first introduced over 45 years ago. "D&D is all about storytelling and imagination" Mr. Joe Wong shared about the game. "Games in D&D are called campaigns, which take place over long periods of time. It's basically like one big 'choose your own adventure' story." Although the primary role of D&D is to have fun, D&D teaches problem-solving and negotiation skills, builds character, encourages empathy and tolerance, and promotes the power of narrative and the imagination.

The BCS D&D club was first introduced by our Activities Coordinator, Mr. Joe Wong, three years ago and has enjoyed a steady number of adventure seekers over the years. Ethan has been a member of the club since the very beginning and cites the "pure fun and crazy world" as his favourite part about the game. Currently, the seven-member-strong club meets every Sunday from 1:00-3:00 PM and is always open to new members. Interested in joining? Find the group this Sunday in Doolittles. "Show up and we'll set you up," Mr. Wong encouraged. "You're always welcome!"
