Oct. 23, 2019 | Many of our classes took place outside the classroom today as we participated in Take Me Outside Day.
At BCS, we're fortunate to have a 250-acre campus abounding with green spaces. While winter's approach may have some of those green spaces looking somewhat subdued, we made the most of our Quad, fields, and forest today for our second year taking part in Take Me Outside Day. Some students discussed a book in French class as they stayed warm around a campfire, others were seen practising music and theatre outside School House, and still, others read literature as they walked our campus' trails. As the sun came out during the afternoon, many teachers who didn't have outdoor-specific activities made use of the picnic tables in the Quad as students worked on a variety of assignments. Our library staff even set up shop under a purple tent to provide students with books along with some vitamin D!
The sunny afternoon saw all our creases practising on our fields. We were even joined by several other schools who ran our forest trails for the final ETIAC cross country race of the season.
