Head start

Jan 6, 2020 | Our next Head of School, Mr. Michel Lafrance, was on campus today meeting with faculty and staff and touring the facilities.

In the first staff meeting of the new year, current Head, Mr. Mitchell, spoke in chapel this morning, inspiring staff and sharing about the internal and external goals for the school in the months ahead. He also took the opportunity to welcome Mr. Lafrance to the BCS family. While Mr. Lafrance will be officially starting his role with the 2020-21 school year, he used the occasion to share about his interests, his family, and his passion for education. We look forward to welcoming him and his family to their new home this summer.

Mr. Lafrance will be joining us at school on Saturday, February 22 for our annual Alumni & Friends Hockey Tournament, as well as on March 2 and 3 to speak and meet with students and staff. He will return to campus for both the Annual Cadet Review and our Graduation Ceremonies.

On Tuesday, April 7, the Johnston family will host a warm and informal evening at the home of Alex, BCS'88, to welcome him into the Toronto-area community. Join us as he and Canada's 28th Governor General, The Right Honourable David Johnston, speak about leadership and the important role of educators. Please email Susan Cook for more information.
