Roaring into the '20s
Jan 7, 2020 | Across campus, our clubs, committees, and departments are ramping up for the new year!
Students arrived throughout the afternoon yesterday and the first classes of the new year officially got underway this morning. During the first of many chapel addresses in 2020, Mr. Mitchell took the opportunity to welcome the community back and Mr. Tessier shared a message emphasizing the importance of kindness. With the resumption of winter crease this afternoon, we're looking forward to many athletic challenges and triumphs in the coming months, starting things off with our first basketball tournament of 2020 next week. Our ski crease met after chapel, no doubt eager to get to the local mountains with the fresh snowfall we received over the break. The Activities team is excitedly gearing up for Winter Carnival in February with the theme announcement coming next Friday. In the world of the arts, planning is getting underway for the upcoming BCS Players' Club production in April, just a few days after Comic Con and the Stoker Arts Festival. Things will be getting serious during Cadets on Thursday afternoons during the second half of this academic year as we prepare for our Annual Review in May. Before you know it, Form VI and VII students will be donning their gowns for graduation!
We're excited about this fresh start after a re-energizing break and we look forward to the journey we'll take together in 2020. Remember to check our online calendar
as we update it with important dates to look forward to throughout the year. Happy New Year, BCS!
