Weekend wins

Feb. 17, 2020 | Both our Senior Boys Basketball team and our U18/Varsity team excelled this weekend!
Hot on the heels of the Annual BCS Bantam Basketball Invitational Tournament, our Bears' skill shone on the ice and on the court. Despite an opening-game loss on Friday during the Anderson-Bailey Senior Basketball Tournament, our Senior Boys Basketball team dug deep and earned themselves a spot in the finals. With injuries plaguing the team throughout the tournament and only seven players in the final game, our Bears still managed to secure a seven-point win over Stanstead College, claiming the championship title within the Quebec Small Schools Sports Association.

Our U18/Varsity hockey team also continued their athletic legacy at the MPHL Playoffs, building on their victory at the 5th BCS Ice Hockey Showcase earlier this month. Taking the ice at the LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo, New York, the team handily won against Lake Forest Academy and claimed a close overtime win against Gilmour Academy. Earning a spot in the finals, the team fought hard but lost out to Ridley College. Looking ahead, our U18's are heading back to New York this weekend for the Prep School Challenge at The Albany Academies before the National Independent School Invitational Championship from March 5-8 to close out their season. All their latest news and statistics can be found here on our website.

In other hockey-related news, the BCS Alumni & Friends Hockey Tournament is taking place at our very own Memorial Arena this weekend. We hope to see you there!
