En fin de conte...

Feb. 26, 2020 | Fifteen students from Mme Mesnil and Mme Lanoue's Form IV Français langue d'enseignement and langue seconde classes travelled to École Plein Soleil this morning as part of their fairy tale writing project.

In January our students were paired off with kindergarten students from École Plein Soleil and tasked with turning them into characters for their fairy tale stories. During their initial visit, they gathered information about their students such as their favourite colours and hobbies to help in the creation of their story. After the visit the students were responsible for writing, illustrating, and putting together their short personalized stories on paper as well as recording themselves reading it. This morning they shared their completed projects with their kindergarten partners. "It's a tradition that we do every year and every year it's a success," Mme Lanoue shared. "Our kids know that their stories are going to be read and presented and it shows in their work that they are writing with purpose." Mme Mesnil echoed her colleague's sentiments "the students should be really proud of themselves and their work!"
Make sure to drop by the bulletin board outside Mme Mesnil's classroom to discover the project!
