Feb. 27, 2020 | Our Bears were out competing in full force yesterday to mark the end of winter crease.
Our Swim team laid claim to some hardware at yesterday's ETIAC Finals with three students taking home trophies for their individual performances. Mehdi, Ryan, and Boris all finished in first place in each of their four events and the team finished in third place overall with over 300 points—no small feat considering we only had 14 competitive swimmers participating in the event! Our Curling team, for their part, finished in fourth place at yesterday's ETIAC Playoffs after two tough losses against Alexander Galt and Stanstead. Last week our Senior Boys Basketball team capped off a successful season with a victory at the RSEQ Finals, handily nabbing the championship title after a 44-28 win over Richmond Regional High School. Looking ahead, our Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding crease will have their last outing of the season on Friday and our U16/Prep team is in Ottawa, ON this weekend at the Prep School Hockey Federation (PSHF) Championships. Finally, our U18/Varsity team will be heading to Toronto, ON the second weekend of March for the National Independent School Invitational Championship (NISIC). We'll be celebrating the end of the athletic season with our annual Winter Crease Athletic Banquet next Tuesday, followed by our Winter Crease Sports Assembly in chapel the week after that.
We're wishing our hockey teams good luck as they wrap up the season and we're crossing our fingers for warm weather as we head into spring crease. Let's go, Bears!
