Stay focussed

Mar. 4, 2020 | Our resident photographer and camera enthusiast, Mr. Tracy, led a Digital Photography Workshop today as part of Tech Week.
Our library was yet again a hive of activity over lunch as our Bears honed their photography skills. With many staff members lending their cameras to the cause, students had a chance to play with a variety of models, from vintage medium format film cameras to professional-grade DSLRs. Several stations were set up in our modular learning space allowing students to discover the effects of focal length, quality of light, and other camera settings as they took portraits of each other. For those who missed the event and would like to experiment with photography on their own, the instructions for each station have been uploaded here. For those desiring to dive a little deeper into their camera knowledge, laptops were available for students to discover ISO, aperture, and shutter speed with this interactive site.
