Apr. 8, 2020 | Ms. McGie's student-teacher Ms. D'allmen led our Form IV drama students in a warm-up earlier this week to help prepare them for their assignment on ensemble movement.

Prior to the Spring Break, students in Ms. McGie's Form IV drama class were working on creating group ensemble pieces focussing on movement. Resourcefully adapting to the new educational landscape, Ms. McGie and Ms. D'allmen adjusted the assignment over the past few weeks so that students could complete it from home. In small groups, students will choose a song or poem related to a political or social issue and will be tasked with performing it using ensemble voice and body movement. At the beginning of their first online class together on Monday, Ms. D'allmen's warm-up exercise 'The Chicken Way' served as a preparation for their assignment—getting students to move around while becoming comfortable with the new learning platform.

Students will be sharing their performances with the class at the end of the week. Best of luck to our virtual thespians!
