Some Good News

Apr. 15, 2020 | The Student News Club is keeping our community up-to-date and informed on the latest in global news.

In keeping with their Wednesday tradition of sharing news with the BCS community during our morning assemblies, the Student News Club has stayed committed to keeping our community informed on the latest happenings via email. They felt that it was important that they continue to deliver the news to the BCS community focussing on issues unrelated to COVID-19. "We wanted to share news about subjects other than the global pandemic so we can shed a little light on topics that haven't been getting as much attention," Alfonso expressed. "It's important to know what else is going on in the world too." Topics range from sports to politics to the latest scientific discoveries. This afternoon, Aidan shared about a newly discovered asteroid that will be passing the Earth today, Thinh and Leonardo updated us about the latest in American and Canadian politics, and Cala educated the community on the discovery of the smallest dinosaur known to man.

Staff and students have been quick to celebrate the initiative, replying to Alfonso's email to thank the club for their efforts. Mr. Mitchell noted that this was a great way to bring our school traditions online and remind us of school. We look forward to many more Wednesdays of staying informed, whether it's in our inboxes or in chapel!
