This is a good sine
May 13, 2020 | Mr. Verheyden isn't letting a few thousand kilometres of separation stop him from helping our students succeed in mathematics.
As our Math Support Teacher, Mr. Verheyden is always working to find ways of making math interesting for all types of learners. For the past month, he has been adapting his teaching tools to the online world to keep our students at the top of their math game. Armed with a Wacom tablet and screen sharing through Google Meet, he can be seen here meeting with Diana, who joined him all the way from Ukraine yesterday. In addition to offering individual and group meetings as well as open drop-in hours accessible through his Bitmoji-filled portal page, Mr. V also invites students to reach out through a math help form available 24/7. He quickly responds to each request with videos catered to the students' specific questions and struggles.
If you thought that providing individualized math help was valiant enough, be sure to check out our World Health Day post on Instagram
which showcased his work collecting messages for our local healthcare workers to show support and appreciation. We're thankful to have such a great team of faculty dedicated to supporting our BCS community and the ones around them
