Preparing to play

May 19, 2020 | The BCS Players' Club is already planning for their fall production.

For our theatrically inclined students, the arrival of warmer weather heralds the BCS Players' Club's spring production. Since the Club's last performance in November, they've been working diligently to prepare a spring spectacle for our community. Despite the cancellation of the performance scheduled to take place at the end of April, that hasn't stopped our actors from meeting and planning the revival of the project in the fall. Although Violetta will be graduating and unable to return to her role as stage manager, she’s looking forward to supporting the cast from the audience in the fall as most of the cast members return to BCS next year to see the project to fruition. Bringing up group morale, Mulan suggested doing their raucous 'jellyfish' warmup, which we're sure was made into an even more festive cacophony than usual thanks to the videoconference delay.

We look forward to seeing the group's performance of The Clock Struck One by Craig Sodaro just as soon as our campus opens its doors once again. The stage is already set in the R. Lewis Evans Memorial Theatre, complete with Mr. Tessier’s lovely couch!
