Head's home

July 16, 2020 | The Lafrance family is getting adjusted to their new home on Moulton Hill after making the move from Montreal at the end of June.

Michel, his wife Carine, and their daughters Léa (17) and Rosalie (9) are settling in nicely at the newly-renovated historic Head's House at the edge of the St. Francis River. They're looking forward to spending the summer in the Eastern Townships, exploring their new home and getting to know the BCS community. Their new puppy Jasper and two cats are already adjusting to their new setting and enjoying the flora and fauna native to the property.

Michel officially stepped into his role as our 32nd Head of School on July 1 with our outgoing Head of School William Mitchell, BCS'63, handing over the keys to the school and performing the 'official passing of the torch'. We're sending our heartfelt thanks to Mr. Mitchell for all of his hard work this past year and we're excited to welcome Michel into his new role.

Since his appointment in October, Michel has wasted no time enthusiastically diving into work at BCS, getting to know our culture, customs, and community, eager to guide our ongoing growth and development. Read his official welcome message here.

Wishing the Lafrance family a very warm welcome and on behalf of the entire BCS community: welcome home!
