The Book Knight
September 9, 2020 | Equipped with popular titles (and delicious peanut-free candy), Mr. Crowther has been making the rounds this week to all of our quarantined houses.
Wheeling his trolley (aptly-named 'the bookmobile') door-to-door, Mr. Crowther has been signing out a variety of popular non-fiction, YA fiction, graphic novels, and biographies to our quarantining students. He's even taking requests!
The bookmobile was inspired by the many creative ways libraries got books into avid-readers' hands during the lockdown. "It was great to see so many libraries participating in curb-side and drop-off services for their readers," Max explained. "A few other people recommended that I do a similar service and so the bookmobile was born."
Having made the rounds in Glass, Gillard, and Mitchell Family House earlier this week, Mr. Crowther stopped into McNaughton today and will finish off the tour in Smith tomorrow. The service has proved to be quite popular, with the Glass girls already requesting for him to make a return next week.
