September 16, 2020 | Our Admissions team treated our students to some yummy snacks to end their quarantine on a sweet (and salty) note.
Yesterday morning, Admissions Officers Ms. Kathleen Largy-Nadeau, Mr. Jay Kourkoulis, and Ms. Melissa Rowe prepared paper bags of chips, candy, and chocolate for all the students. "We wanted to give the students a little something to show that we were thinking of them," Melissa shared. "We chose those items because they are tuck shop favourites and we wanted to include something everyone would enjoy." In the afternoon Melissa and Jay brought the bags around to our houseparents in Gillard, Glass, Mitchell Family House, Smith, and McNaughton to distribute to the students.
Over the past two weeks, our community has rallied together to show their support for our quarantining students. Our Student Life team prepared fun virtual activities, our Athletics team created room-friendly workouts, our librarian wheeled his 'bookmobile' door-to-door
, and our prefects shared fun and helpful videos to get our students ready for life on campus
. With our on-campus quarantine coming to an end tomorrow evening, our faculty and staff are excited to see the campus bustling with students again and Mr. Greg McConnell, Ms. Gingi Sheppard, Kathleen, Jay, and Melissa are all looking forward to welcoming students to campus this Saturday and Sunday for Arrival Weekend.
Wishing your quarantining students a wonderful final day of quarantine tomorrow—we can't wait to see you soon!
