Building community

September 21, 2020 | Our Junior students gathered in chapel this morning for our first morning assembly of the school year.

A hallmark of school at BCS, our regular morning assemblies in St. Martin's Chapel are one of our most cherished community-building events. Watch Mr. Lafrance's video on community in the 2020-2021 welcome series to learn more about this special tradition. This year, to accommodate our community safely, we will host four chapel assemblies a week—Junior students will attend chapel on Monday and Wednesday mornings and Senior students will attend chapel on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 8:10-8:40 AM. Check out the Daily Class Schedule for more details.

Participants will be required to wear their masks and sit in the pews where the green tape indicates to allow for physical distancing. Have an announcement to make? Head up the aisle on the right-hand side and take care to keep your distance from fellow announcement-makers. After you've shared your message, exit down the middle aisle or on the piano side. Our helpful wardens will be cleaning the podium after each announcement for extra safety! At the end of the assembly, we will exit in a single file by house. As always, feel free to ask one of our prefects or wardens on duty if you have any questions.

For our students unable to physically attend chapel, they can join virtually using Google Meet. Head to the portal and click on your 'Junior Chapel' or 'Senior Chapel' group for the link and for a recap of announcements if you're unable to join us live.

We're so happy to have students back on campus and we're looking forward to a terrific school year. Welcome Bears!
