Why #BoardingIsBetter

June 3, 2015 | BCS is a proud member of the Canadian Accredited Independent Schools, a national community of independent schools.

Martin and Scott from CAIS stopped in yesterday as part of their national #BoardingIsBetter tour to speak with students, teachers, and administrators about their experiences. They are visiting 26 schools across the country and traveling 17,000 kms in seven weeks. In this shot, they are interviewing our Head of School, Mr. Mitchell.

The goal is to show interested families what boarding life is all about and highlight the many advantages of attending a boarding school. Martin and Scott toured BCS and conducted short interviews, asking students about what makes BCS special, what students do for fun, and how is boarding different than what you expected? They also asked students what they had wished they'd known before coming in their "Dear Pre-boarding Me" section. Nick, Form V, said, "Remember to bring a lot of snacks.” Violetta, Form II, said, “be true to yourself." Rebecca, Form VI, said, “don’t be terrified, it will change your life so many ways."
