Learning to fly

Jan. 28, 2016 | Form IV's in Mr. Brandon's class spent Period 5 outdoors today.

While there were definitely a few snowballs thrown, the students were actually testing out their homemade flying devices. For a month now, members of the class have been working either alone or in teams to build a machine that can take flight. There were lots of gliders and even a hot air balloon. One device was made with an actual motor and flew around the quad before bracing for a crash landing into the student centre. Happy to report there were no casualties, however!
