Gillard: a house of queens

May 10, 2016 | Yesterday saw the fruition of a year-long project for the Gillard Girls.

Montreal-area artist Miss Me arrived on campus after months of communication with Justine Valois, who has spearheaded the project since the beginning of the school year. The project is a mural on the third floor of Gillard that emphasizes and celebrates the different nationalities, backgrounds and personalities of the girls who live in the house. Miss Me (who never shows her face) was inspired to call it "House of Queens" after learning about Gillard's babes united from Justine. She'll be wrapping up the project tomorrow, leaving behind a creative and unifying space for the house to enjoy.
