Lettuce, and carrots, and kale - oh my!

May 26, 2016 | The small seeds that were sown back when there was snow on the ground have a new home.

Mr. White's activity group completed its mission of a community garden this afternoon. With the help of the plant crew and several volunteer teachers, a garden bed was constructed, filled with soil, watered, and successfully implanted with the vegetables that have been carefully nurtured over the past few months. The group came together, with different teams responsible for bringing the soil over in wheelbarrows and raking it, bringing the plants down from Mr. White's classroom and planting them in the new earth, and, of course, carefully watering the whole area. It's looking great and the kitchen staff are watching closely, eager to get their hands on the produce once it's ready to use in recipes!
