Finding the best fit

Mr. Byrne, our University Advisor, is eager to assist students in choosing a college or university that matches their interests, abilities and future career aspirations. It's not about picking the best school, it's about choosing the best school for you, he regularly tells students. He helps them evaluate programs and campuses to find the right combination of elements.

With a full array of programs designed to help students throughout their BCS experience, students can find easy access to teachers, tutors, counselors and advisors for advice and encouragement.

The Bridge Program with Bishop's University

Eligible Form VII (Grade 12) students have the unique opportunity to take classes at Bishop’s University, just across the river from BCS. Not only will they be exposed to university curriculum, but they will also start accumulating post-secondary credits. Successfully completing a university course while in high school speaks volumes to university admissions officers and can give students a real advantage when applying to universities and colleges.

Students entering grade 12 with an 80% average or above can enroll in one course in the fall and another in the winter. Bridge Program participants have gone on to study at their first-choice universities, including Stanford University, NYU and McGill University.

SAT prep courses

Planning to take the SAT? Our intensive SAT prep workshops are offered twice a year after school and on weekends. Our professional instructor guides students through the process and offers tips and tricks for success.

Required by most American undegraduate programs, the SAT is a standardized test featuring math, critical reading and writing. BCS is also an official SAT testing centre.
Bishop's College School is an independent English-language boarding and day school for grades 7 to 12 in Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada.
