We would be pleased to consider your application for admission to BCS. As you begin to complete the application, please keep in mind there are certain documents (see below) that will be required to complete your file. Apply online or send the completed forms via fax, email, mail or courier.
We require entrance tests and an interview with a member of the Admissions staff. For students who are unable to join us on campus, interviews can be arranged via Skype.
Day Student Requirements
In order to qualify as a Day Student, students must reside locally with a legal parent. In addition, both the parent and student must have Canadian Citizenship. BCS does not permit homestays.
Government-issued Identification For Canadian applicants: a copy of the official long version of the birth certificate showing the names of both parents. For International applicants: a copy of the passport identification page and a birth certificate translated into English.
Copies of school transcripts We require copies of the previous year’s transcript and the most recent report card with the application. The student’s year-end transcript must be submitted prior to arrival in September. If these documents are in a language other than English or French, they must be translated into English prior to submission. Additional transcripts may be required for Form VI and VII applicants.
All applicants write a BCS Math entrance test.
All applicants whose first language is English write the BCS English entrance test.
All applicants whose first language is not English require an official language test score: either the BCS ESL Test or SLEP (Secondary Level English Proficiency) for applicants Grades 7 to 10; or TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) for Grade 11 or 12 applicants.
Results from the SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test) completed within the current year may be submitted in lieu of these tests. Additional testing may be required in some cases.
Recommended submission date: rolling admissions
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, however we recommend that families submit their applications as soon as possible due to limited enrolment space.
Note: For residents of Quebec, we do not require a Certificate of Eligibility.
