Although the season got off to a slow start with a tough 1-0 loss against Stanstead College, the team quickly came into their own defeating Massey Vanier Regional High School 5-0, Richmond Regional High School 6-2, and tying 3-3 with AGRHS.
The team then headed to Rothesay-Netherwood School (RNS) in New Brunswick for the annual CAIS tournament. The boys started off strong, beating Lower Canada College 2-1 and avenging last year’s bitter loss. Unfortunately, the Bears saw defeat the rest of the tournament falling to the likes of Trinity College School, St. Andrew’s College, hosts RNS, and 3-0 in a friendly match against Country Day School.
They quickly redeemed their losses once back home, with a 1-1 tie against AGRHS and a big 7-2 win against Richmond Regional High School to secure a spot in the ETIAC semi-finals

After a rousing pep rally led by Coach Nadeau in chapel on Friday, students boarded buses to cheer on their Bears on AGRHS’ home turf. The spirit and support worked wonders, as the boys defeated AGRHS 2-0, claiming the ETIAC championship.
“We owe this win to all the fans and supporters—and of course a tremendous effort from the team,” said Coach Nadeau. Way to go Bears—this win is well-deserved!
